It had to start somewhere.

So, I decided that it was about time for me to start writing my own blog. I am not entirely sure what I am going to use it for but I thought it best that I start one anyway.

I have developed a sudden urge to establish a presence, and to make some sort of contribution to the behemoth that is the world wide web. I have a feeling that this may be down to the fact that I have just completed my undergraduate degree in Interactive Media design (IMD), soon to be called Digital Interaction design (DIxD), but what everyone seems to simply call Interaction design (IxD) - confusing I know - at the University of Dundee, Scotland. DJCAD and now I am trying to find something to take up the time.

I think that after four years of study, and with a First class honours degree under my belt (Shameless Self Promotion) I am not quite ready for the ‘real world’ yet. This has led me to the decision to increase my debt and to continue my studies at a masters level - MSc Design Ethnography here I come.

I want to use this blog as a personal account of the stuff, things and experiences that I come across on a daily basis. It will probably mainly focus on Design, Technology and Research related topics, but will more than likely look at a number of other creative practices. You can’t help but develop an appreciation for creativity when you have been at art school for so long - That’s my opinion anyway. It will also probably contain some pretty irrelevant stuff, but everyone needs some kind of light relief on occasion.

Right, I have rambled on for long enough. Hope you enjoy - or at least have a little bit of interest in whatever it is that I decide to post here.

P.S.

Here is a link to my portfolio site which isn’t really finished yet and is constantly changing.
